We’ll meet in the Beduin village of Slame for a rich breakfast with pita bread straight from the ‘Taboon’ (outdoors wood operated oven).
From here we begin our tour via the old olive trees in Tsalmon wadi through the water reservoir of the National Water Carrier of Israel.
We shall continue to the Volture cliff in Aqbara and to the orchards in Hamra wadi. From here to Birya forest. We’ll take a short trail to the great cliff above Dalton wadi and continue to the huge Pistacia tree near the grave of Rabbi Tarfon in Kadita. Here we’ll learn about holly grave sites in the Galil.
Then we will climb the forest road on mount Meiron and continue to Bar’am forest. There, from atop an observation tower we will view the Galil and south Lebanon.
We shall continue climbing Gush-Halav wadi to the village of Gush-Halav.
17:00 – we’ll end the excursion with a special meal in the Lebanese style restaurant of “Liali-Beirut” in Gush-Halav.
